Cerwin-Vega CVi-218S

The CVi-218S (Contra-Sub) is a portable, dual 18-inch dedicated subwoofer system designed to extend and enhance the low-frequency range of CVi full-range systems for live sound and playback applications. The CVi-218S features two high-efficiency cast-frame 18-inch woofers with 3" voice coils for long-term performance under high-SPL conditions. Steel handles and a pole mount are also included, allowing the subwoofer to serve as a base for pole-mounted full-range systems. This configuration allows both woofers to operate together in the same acoustic space, reducing distortion caused by mechanical non-linearity at high output levels. The result is cleaner, smoother low-frequency reinforcement even at elevated SPL levels.
