Anyone running high-power amplifiers in their vehicle knows the problem: when the bass hits, the standard 12V electrical system "struggles," which is noticeable through flickering lights in rhythm with the music. The issue: A car battery is powerful, but due to its high internal resistance, it cannot deliver fast current pulses. However, these pulses are crucial for powerful amplifiers to reproduce tight and clean bass.

With the new hybrid power capacitors from the ZEUS EXTREME ZXT series, such problems are a thing of the past. Thanks to modern hybrid technology—using both electrolyte fluid and polymer as the film base—it’s possible to fit up to 10 Farads of capacity into compact enclosures. At the same time, the technology ensures very low internal series resistance (ESR), allowing power to be delivered instantly.

ZEUS EXTREME ZXT capacitors provide the stored extra power exactly when the subwoofer amplifier IMMEDIATELY requires high energy for heavy bass. The released energy is then recharged from the battery in time for the next hit. The capacitor can therefore buffer and smooth out voltage peaks by absorbing excess energy and releasing it again when needed.

Bonus effect: The lifespan of a vehicle battery can be extended by using a power capacitor.
