A highly flexible high-end and low-end converter that sounds really good. If you use a cheap high and low-level transformer, your device connected after the transformer will sound poor. It is an active converter (requires power and ground), meaning you get a better signal to your power amplifier or active subwoofer. Cheap converters are often passive, causing a loss of signal level, resulting in inferior sound quality and not playing as loudly as an active converter.
The converter has AUTO ON/OFF, meaning it turns on when it receives a signal from the car stereo and turns off after a while when the stereo is turned off. It also has a remote output that connects to a power amplifier or active subwoofer to power the product since the original car stereo lacks a remote control output.
