Plug & Play upgrade package for BMW with BASE stereo The smallest stereo package that comes with BMW is called BASE stereo. In these cases, the cars are delivered without separate tweeters, with only one full-range speaker in each door. Under the front seats you will find 6.5" subwoofers, while the larger stereo packages have 8" subwoofers. Last but not least, it is the main unit that drives everything from the speaker and NOT an external amplifier. So it takes a full upgrade to get a hidden stereo upgrade that really rocks.

Step 1 BASIC Stereo Upgrade

This package can be considered your ticket to an Axton DSP system, a world of much better sound quality than the standard BMW stereo.

A perfect upgrade package for those of you who don't see the need to upgrade the original subwoofers because you have larger base plans but at the same time want nicer sound, higher volume and easy bass connection. The Axton A542DSP connects to the car's original stereo system with a Plug & Play cable set. No extra power cables are needed and the amplifier can easily be installed hidden in the dashboard wherever there is free space.
Such an amplifier continues to drive all the speakers in the car with much more power than the original. The magic still happens in the amplifier's DSP.
A DSP system allows very detailed customization of each amplifier channel with everything from equalizers, precise crossover frequencies and time compensation to name a few.

The original speakers from BMW with the smallest stereo system do not have a separate tweeter. By using the EMPHASER with a tweeter in the middle, you get your own dedicated tweeter. This results in much clearer voices and vocals. In a setup like this, keeping the original basics as before, this will be incorporated into what actually looks more like a good 3-way system with the subwoofers taking care of the lower frequency range.

DSP - A544DSP

The integrated Class A/B amplifier provides 4 x 25 W RMS, with 6 pre-out outputs for external amplifiers. User-friendly app control makes settings easy. With the option to connect to other AXTON DSP amplifiers, you can get up to 20 DSP channels. The ABT50 interface provides Hi-Res Audio playback.

Plug&Play cable - Axton ATS-ISO5

Used to connect external audio equipment in cars with original radio, for example to get a signal to an external amplifier or sound processor/DSP. Connects as an intermediate piece to the car's wiring, and eliminates modification/cutting in the car's original wiring.

Please note that this is not the same as ISO transition and should not be used when replacing the player. This cable kit means that you do not have to cut the car's wires, but you have to cut/splice the necessary cables to this kit yourself.
