The Excursion SHX.v2 12 D2 is a powerful 12-inch car subwoofer from Excursion. It is designed to deliver legendary performance in both sealed and ported installations.

The SHX.v2 driver features a unique construction with a cone made up of five compressed layers of paper/wool with fiberglass reinforcement. This construction provides natural bass reproduction and high sound quality. The sturdy and vented steel basket is stamped and has a foam surround, providing unrestricted movement for the speaker.

High-temperature resistant voice coils with BASV aluminum are used in this subwoofer. It features dual voice coils to allow connection in a 2 x 4-ohm configuration, providing flexibility in matching amplifier impedance and configuring the speaker system.

The bottom plate is extra reinforced to ensure maximum durability and resistance to stress. Additionally, the bottom plate is designed to promote internal motor cooling, helping to control the temperature and prevent overheating.

The SHX.v2 performs best in small sealed enclosures or very powerful ported enclosures. It is recommended to use it with an amplifier that can provide up to 400 watts RMS power and up to 1000 watts max power to unleash its full potential.
