What we call our REFERENCE series is once again our flagship—especially in this latest version—marking the entry into the new EXCURSION 2020 design concept. The SXR remains our best bass companion in the EXCURSION world. A companion others should not mess with and keep their distance from.

An ultra-light yet thick natural paper cone with fiber-reinforced pulp core delivers tight and voluminous low bass performance that brings emotion to every note. Our oversized rubberized foam surrounds, stitched in red, allow for unrestricted excursion in the newly redesigned EXCURSION stamped steel basket, reinforced with X-embossing and built oversized for durability.

Multi-stage cooling occurs in four zones: through the side vents in the basket, upper ventilation in the coil former, down into the voice coil gap, and centrally through the core hole in the back plate.

Our 4-layer 28 mm high OFC copper voice coil is wound on a solid 2" aluminum former and perfectly centered by our linear spider system. With its blood-red tone and matching stitching on the surround, it also sets striking visual accents.
